Titanic Exhibition

Hi, we are from 4th Class and on the 3rd of May 2012, we went back in time 100 years to 1912 for to commemorate the Titanic. We all dressed up in costumes from the time and were divided into First Class passengers, Second Class passengers and Steerage passengers .It was funny seeing everyone in old fashioned clothes (some of us were even married!!!), We had great fun on the day and learned so much about the Titanic while preparing for our exhibition.
We did lots of activities such as, wordsearches, crosswords, quizzes, boat building, fishing, pin the sailor on the lifeboat and help Carpathia rescue Titanic . We gave tickets to everyone in Scoil Íde, children, teachers, secretary, caretaker, cleaner and snas. Each ticket said whether the person was 1st, 2nd or 3rd class and everyone had to board the ship with passengers of the same class. Ms Ní Odhráin was a man in steerage, Ms Costelloe lady in 1st Class, Ms Smyth was a 3rd class boy and our teacher Ms Kelly was a lady in 1st Class.
The whole school had a great day and our parents came to see us too !! We will always remember this day but if it was not for our teacher, Ms Kelly we wouldn't have got to do this fabulous exhibition of all of our learning. Thank you Ms Kelly from all in 4th Class
